His professional experience and personal insight into recovery enable the delivery of cutting-edge treatment in a safe, comfortable environment with life-changing results.
Matthew is a licensed marriage and family therapist and clinical supervisor in Orange County, California. Matthew has an extensive history working with the substance abuse and mental health population and is committed to client care with an ethical approach to treatment. Matthew utilizes a solution-focused, cognitive behavioral approach to therapy. He emphasizes the importance of creating a recovery environment which supports deep and meaningful sober connection, a system of accountability, daily structure and healthy routine, and an aftercare plan which will support continued sobriety post-treatment.
Ken earned his master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles and his dedication to client success has made an immediate impact here at Turning Tides. He uses an integrated, therapeutic approach to help each individual discover the necessary strengths to support their road to recovery. Ken brings a deep commitment to the work, and with him on your treatment team, you can be confident you’ll be able to find a better version of yourself and reenergize your hopes and dreams.
Mavash attended Brandman University, where she earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and continued her education at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she obtained a PsyD in Clinical Psychology. She is an associate marriage and family therapist, registered psych assistant, PCC and is also trained in EMDR. Mavash’s deepest passion is bringing healing to people who have been through stressful and traumatic experiences. She uses a range of modalities in her practices, including Gestalt therapy, play therapy, a somatic approach to the treatment of trauma, as well as EMDR.
Lisa has been working in the medical field as a licensed vocational nurse for nearly a decade and has been specializing in detox and residential services for the last five years. She will make your admission process smooth and safe, working with our Medical Director every step of the way to ensure your safety and comfort throughout your stay.
Justin has worked in the treatment industry for almost five years and is currently in school pursuing his degree. As a case manager, he is a pillar of the clinical team who is devoted to applying evidence-based treatment interventions such as motivational interviewing and 12-step solutions to help you make the decisions that will positively impact your recovery. Justin will help to facilitate your treatment goals and will help you develop a strong relapse prevention and aftercare plan.
Ladan attended Pepperdine University, where she earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has extensive experience working with those suffering from mental illness, trauma and substance abuse disorders, along with the LGBTQ population and families struggling with anxiety and depression. Ladan creates a safe space for her clients who have been struggling with difficult symptoms and traumatic experiences. She aims to be as present as possible and builds a strong rapport with her clients. Ladan uses cognitive behavioral therapy as her main modality and also incorporates psychodynamic and solution-focused therapy. She brings out hope in each individual and helps them see the light.
